Erlbruch wins Andersen Award for Illustration

The Jury of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) has named Wolf Erlbruch winner of the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration. The award will be presented at the opening ceremony of IBBY’s congress in Beijing in September of this year. Erlbruch is the author of over twenty-five illustrated books for children, including The Big Question, winner of the Bologna Book Fair’s Ragazzi Award, The Miracle of the Bears. and, with renowned Nicaraguan poet and author Gioconda Belli, The Butterfly Workshop.
