Giménez-Bartlett wins La Baccante award at the Women's Fiction Festival.

(Sept 26) The Women's Fiction Festival is held in Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, every September. This year the festival highlighted mysteries, thrillers and suspense novels. Each year, WFF's literary prize, the La Baccante, is awarded to an author or publisher who has made major contributions to women's fiction. The ‘La Baccante’ prize this year goes to Alicia Gimenez-Bartlett, one of Europe’s finest mystery writers, the winner of the 1997 Feminino Lumen prize as best Spanish writer, and creator of the Petra Delicado series
