We are extremely pleased to announce that The House on Via Gemito by Domenico Starnone, translated from the Italian by Oonagh Stransky, has been longlisted for the 2024 International Booker Prize!

The International Booker Prize is awarded annually for a single book, translated into English and published in the UK or Ireland. The shortlist will be announced on April 9. The winning title will be announced at a ceremony on May 21.

With The House on Via Gemito Starnone, a finalist for the National Book Award with Trick, author of New York Times notable book of the year, Ties, and the critically acclaimed Trust, takes readers beyond the slim, novella-length works for which he is known by American readers to create a vast fresco of family, fatherhood, and modern Naples.

“A vivid, fluid, richly detailed drama, tormented and hilarious.”—Tim Parks, The Washington Post
